Live the experience of a full day tour that includes both the visit of the most important monuments of Rome as well as the Vatican museums and the Sistine Chapel.

1. Vatican Museums

The tour begins with a visit to the Vatican Museums , in the Vatican City. In 2.5 hours you will be able to fully appreciate one of the most important museum tours in the world accompanied by an expert English-speaking guide.

The tour also includes a visit to the Sistine Chapel , famous for its mural frescoes and the wonderful vault created by Michelangelo Buonarroti.

2. Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

After a break of 3.5 hours useful for lunch and travel, the tour resumes with a visit to the Colosseum. The latter represents the most important stage of Ancient Rome, as well as the amphitheater where gladiator shows and even naval battles (the naumachia) were held.

Your guide will show you the most hidden aspects and curiosities of the undisputed symbol of Rome.

3. Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

Together with your guide you will finally move to the nearby Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, where your tour will end.

Instructions

  • Present yourself at the meeting point of the Vatican Museums: at the bottom of the staircase in front of the museum entrance. The staircase is located between the Caffè Vaticano and the Hotel Alimandi Vaticano, on the corner of viale Vaticano and via Tunisi
  • Show employees (identifiable by polo shirts or blue jackets with the word “City Wonders”) your ticket in printed form or directly on your smartphone
  • Take advantage of the 2.5 hour break to eat in one of the many typical restaurants near the Vatican
  • Go to the second meeting point: Largo Gaetana Agnesi, above the 2nd floor of the underground line B (blue line), “Colosseo” stop

Additional information

A strict dress code applies in the Vatican Museums. It is mandatory to dress soberly, covering shoulders and knees.

In the Colosseum it is not possible to access the Colosseum with bulky items such as suitcases, trolleys and camping backpacks. Upon access, you will need to go through a security gate.
