ickets: touristic subscriptions for the city of Rome

Tickets and sub-scriptions: every tourist that decides to come and visit Rome, has no easy life at all. Problems start from the very beginning, when the tourist begins to plan his/her online itinerary.

The tourist is overexposed by hundreds of  different offers and proposals and it takes days to find the right solution and to study offers, blogs, feedbacks of services, subscriptions or tour operators.

The tourist undergoes the consequences, which consist in:

  • lack of a well managed and protected market
  • mismanagment of public procurements concerning tourism
  • lack of an appropriate tourist offer

This situation allows many societies to exploit the lack of authorized managing and offer sevices with a non permitted  increase in prices.

Cards and sub-scriptions

For those who would like to purchase an all inclusive service, there are two types of subscription cards available, the Roma Pass, offered by the Municipality of Rome in partnership with the local public transportation society ( Atac) and the Omia Card, offered by the Vatican

Roma Pass

Roma Pass is the only official tourist card offered by the City of Rome.

Until few years ago there was even the Archaeologia Card, which was cheaper and lasted one week but didn’t provide public transport services.
