For anyone still wondering - all these metro station are under construction. It's a really complicated project because it's gonna go under the historic center of the city so there's gonna be a lot of archeological sites to go through. Because of that it's gonna take at least 10 years before it's finished and they started in 2023 (I think)

In reply to Betty.

Hi Betty! if we understand correctly, you will be staying in via Milano, 49. The closest underground station is Metro Cavour (8 minutes on foot). However, we advise not to use it to reach Termini, as the time required to climb all the stairs and wait for a ride is probably less than reaching Termini directly on foot (about 15 minutes). Indeed, we recommend the latter option if the weather is good. In any case, from via Nazionale, bus lines 64, 170 or H take you to Termini station and perhaps save you a few minutes.
Have a nice stay in Rome!

Grazie Paolo

In reply to Bob.

Ciao Bob,
nearest metro station to Piazza Navona is Barberini, which is 18 min away on foot (1.5 Km).
We suggest you to take the bus line 70 (on the side of the Termini station, on via Giolitti) or 64 (bus bays in front of Termini main entrance, on piazza dei Cinquecento). Both will take around 20 minutes.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi or rent a car with driver.
Have a nice stay in Rome!

In reply to Noah Hagen.

With the new 2022 financial law passed by the government (art. 1 comma 393, Legge di Bilancio 2022), 1.7 billion euros have been allocated for the T2 section of metro C in Rome.
The stations involved are Venezia, Chiesa Nuova, San Pietro, Ottaviano and Clodio/Mazzini. The start of the project is expected by 2023, while no information has been leaked on the opening date. It is planned that the metro will be further extended to: Auditorium and Farnesina.
Thanks for reaching out Noah!

The San Pietro station is part of the future development of the metro line B. In the future it will connect Piazza Venezia to the metro station being built on the west of Castel Sant'Angelo and furthermore to the Auditorium and the Farnesina. Until the metro is finished being built (possibly in 2032), the nearest metro to San Pietro is "Ottaviano", which is part of line A.
